Xiaomi SU7's 100.000th Car Officially Rolls Off the Production Line in 230 Days, With a Target of 120.000 Deliveries by Year-End

On November 13th, Xiaomi Auto officially announced that the 100.000th unit of the Xiaomi SU7 (inquire about price | check configuration) has officially rolled off the production line, achieving this milestone in just 230 days. This sets a new record for the fastest 100.000-unit production in a new car company. Lei Jun, founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi, also witnessed this moment at the Xiaomi Auto factory. He stated that Xiaomi Auto's factory will continue to expand its production capacity, with a goal of delivering 120.000 vehicles by the end of the year.

To provide some context, the Xiaomi SU7 was officially launched on March 28 this year. It is available in three different configurations, with prices ranging from 215.900 to 299.900 yuan. The vehicle offers both a single-motor rear-wheel drive and a dual-motor all-wheel drive option. The CLTC pure electric range can reach up to 830 km, while the all-wheel-drive version has a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 2.78 seconds, with a top speed of 265 km/h.

Thanks to its relatively affordable price, striking design, advanced intelligent features, and impressive power and range, the Xiaomi SU7 started receiving orders immediately after its sales launch. Within just 4 minutes, orders surpassed 10.000; and within 27 minutes, orders exceeded 50.000 units, setting a new record for large volume orders in a very short time, now measured in minutes rather than days. Within 24 hours of its launch, the order volume reached 88.898 units, setting a new domestic record for the highest number of orders for a new car release. It is reported that the total number of pre-orders for the Xiaomi SU7 has now exceeded 200.000. which means that over 100.000 customers are still waiting for their deliveries.

From the Xiaomi Auto app, it can be seen that the fastest delivery for the Xiaomi SU7. after placing an order and locking in, will take 20 weeks, with the slowest delivery taking up to 28 weeks, a delivery cycle of up to six months. The overall delivery pace remains slow, and by the time the cars are delivered, the Xiaomi SU7 may have already undergone updates or upgrades. Currently, the fastest delivery is for the Xiaomi SU7 Max version, expected to be delivered within 20-23 weeks; the SU7 Pro version is expected to be delivered within 22-25 weeks; while the standard version of the SU7 is expected to be delivered within 25-28 weeks.

The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is also now available for pre-order, with a starting price of 814.900 yuan. The new model will be officially released in March 2025. A deposit of 10.000 yuan guarantees priority delivery. As a completely new model, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra features a more sporty exterior package and is equipped with a tri-motor all-wheel-drive system, producing a total power output of 1.548 horsepower. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.98 seconds, with a top speed of over 350 km/h. According to Lei Jun, the pre-sale for the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra saw over 3.680 units pre-ordered within the first 10 minutes.

For Xiaomi Auto, the main challenge now is not a lack of orders, but rather the inability to meet production capacity, with long delivery times potentially causing the loss of orders. Consumers are also hesitant to place orders when the delivery times are so extended.
