Recently, BYD held the launch event for the Yuan UP (locally named NUEVO BYD S1 PRO) at Avenida Escazu, a famous fashion landmark in the San Rafael Shopping Center, Costa Rica. The event attracted nearly 200 attendees, including media, influencers, customers, and partners, who also participated in in-depth test drives.
BYD has been deeply involved in the Costa Rican market for over a decade, consistently contributing to the country's transition to green, new energy transportation. The Yuan family of compact SUVs is the best-selling new energy model in the region. The newly introduced Yuan UP, combining stylish design, cutting-edge technology, and eco-friendly principles, is set to become another favorite in the local market.
The Yuan UP is built on BYD's latest e-platform 3.0 and CTB (Cell-to-Body) technology, with a maximum motor output of 130kW, enhancing vehicle safety and efficiency. It offers a pure electric range of 401 kilometers (NEDC standard), and when the rear seats are folded down, it provides 1.220 liters of cargo space, making it suitable for daily family use and weekend getaways.
